Equitable internet access, IndiHome holds a wifi corner in Papua

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to strive for equal distribution of internet access. This time, through fixed broadband services, IndiHome is providing access to the east, to the people of Papua, entitled IndiHome Wonderful Papua. This program also supports the implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in 2021 in Papua.

The IndiHome Wonderful Papua program began with holding a wifi corner (WiCo) in several cities in Papua. Such as Merauke, Wamena, Timika, Raja Ampat, Sorong, and Manokwari. The presence of WiCo in Papua is part of Telkom’s commitment to realizing equitable internet access in Indonesia. So it is not only for people in big cities on the island of Java.

Now internet access has become a basic need of society and is on par with physiological needs, like eating and drinking. “In the future, we are targeting as many as 50 wifi corners to operate in Papua. The more equitable internet access is in Indonesia, the more prepared the Indonesian people are to welcome an advanced Indonesia, “said Telkom’s Director of Consumer Service, FM Venusiana R, on Thursday (18/3).
